Today, the same guy with the Amazon return stuff at the flea market had 4 of these LED UFO lights. Specs said 21,000lm!  Maybe not that bright but good enough that I needed sun glasses to check them out, lol. Got all 4 for 40 bucks. I think my Hobby Shop is going to see the light!

Great price!  That'll really brighten up your surroundings. Are they ceiling mount?

It has an eye bolt so you can hang it from a chain, cable, etc. My first use is going to be over a work bench. It's a very "white" color light. It will take me some time to get used to that color. I have a light meter somewhere, lol. When I find it, I will get back to you folks with an actual lm reading. The meter I have cannot measure color temp.

My light meter says 1982 foot candles or converted...21,326 lumens. That's pretty darn bright! I'm impressed! I just wish the color wasn't so white. Specs say actual watts is 150. That won't spin the electric meter that much lol.

I am wondering if that "White" light is like the LED lights that I bought to replace some 4 foot fluorescent lights for the shop.?.?  The new ones are so much brighter and the old ones gave almost a "pink" light, I guess 'cause they were old and failing.  The new ones came with the tubes installed as part of the housing - and cost a mere 13 dollars each!  I've had'em for I think 3 years now and I wanted to get a few more but I can't seem to find them for that price now.

If you are talking about keeping the light fixture that has the older style florescent tubes and replacing the florescent tubes with leds? Then that is what I did and used the ones from the link below. I'm very happy with the results. Brighter and cheaper to leave on. I took the ballast out. Also white light (5K), but not as white as the UFO things.

I wasn't talking about those specifically but I guess it amounts to the same thing. I had priced out the bulbs but then found a complete lamp fixture with the bulbs built in for 13 dollars a unit!  I was searching for a "term" to describe the color and yes - it does appear to be a "white" light.  I do like the idea of the bypass ballast and those replacement lamps too.  I'll have to dig in a bit further and maybe "upgrade" the 2 ceiling fixture in my garage/shop. Thanks for the idea!

I've been changing out the old fluorescent lights with LED lights.  I also added two of these 4 foot LED lights.  Wow! You almost need sun glasses out in the shop now.

We have a new shop in plans now.  Those big round lights as chips and more posted will be perfect for the new shop.
