I have long wanted an easier way to find certain photos, drawings, or other attachments to posts from the past.

I went looking for one this evening, then found and installed one. You will all notice that there is a new item on the menu bar called "Attachments". Click on it and you can open the attachment browser.

The browser allows you to find photos, their related posts, and access the photo directly or open its associated post.

I hope you guys find it useful.

I was looking around on the "Attachments" page and noticed if you select the "Grid" view, it shows the picture thumbnails making it easier to find a particular one.

Terry, is it possible to add extra filter criteria to the "Attachments" page menu ?
I was thinking a "Liked" filter by User name would give members a way of tagging posts with pictures/attachments for future reference.
Right now, the list of photos/attachments isn't that large, but over time this will change as more and more  are added.
Since a website is basically a database of text and images, I'd think there has to be a way. It would basically be a Query of the database with the current User name and Likes as the search criteria.

Sorry, Jimmy, but there are no configurable options for that add-on other than what you see as a user.

My justification for this add-on is that I remember times past where someone would be thinking about a specific photo but had difficulty finding it or could not remember what thread it was in. The browser makes it much easier to browse through the attachments whether they be photos, pdfs, or otherwise and I thought that the membership might like it.

The attachment browser does NOT allow a person to browse the files attached in the Downloads section as they are stored in a separate location.

Oh well, I just thought there might be a way to pare down the number of attachments shown. It would be quite the task trying to find a specific one once the list grows to 30 or more pages (for example).

TerryWerm

Yes, it would be a bit of a job, but it would be far easier than scanning through whole threads in an effort to find the desired photo.

Yep, no complaint here. I do like the addition.
