Do we have to have the four tests on every post?

I admin two very large forums (50K members) using the Xenforo software and we don't have any issue with spam posts.
Having the type answers to the four questions on every post/comment is a real pain.

No, the questions go away after 2 posts. I think Terry set it up that way for both spammers and Bots.
I see you're currently at 3 posts. If you still get the questions, send TerryWerm a PM, he'll be able to take care of it.

Sorry for the distaste for questions, David, but it is only for the first 2 posts. After that you should not need to answer any more questions. This requirement is spelled out in the document that you are asked to read when you register:  NEW MEMBERS PLEASE START HERE... READ THIS FIRST (homemachinistsjournal.com)

Once you reach 5 posts you can also access the Classifieds and the Downloads sections.

These two restrictions are done for two different reasons. Answering the questions for the first two posts keeps the spammers away - and I don't mean the bots. I mean actual people that sign up for membership, get approved, and immediately post trying to sell everyone Viagra, ginseng, or Russian women.

The 5 post restriction on the Downloads and Classifieds is to keep people from becoming members just to try and sell an item they have or just to see what goodies we might have available for download. We would rather have a smaller forum with members that actually want to be here. We never strive to attain members simply for the sake of having lots of members. We are not running a membership contest here. We don't run ads, so they are not a profit center requiring lots of members to see them just so we can make money. This forum is set up for people that want to be members of a forum that feels like a small town. Everyone knows most of the other members and we actually become friends over time. I am not saying that people do not become friends through large forums, but things are a little different here.

As Jimmy pointed out, you are up to 3 posts now, so the question requirement should be a moot point for you. If for some strange reason the questions are continuing for you, please PM me and I will get to the bottom of it.
