small drill chuck,

To be able to drill small holes on my lathe, I created this tool.
Normally I would use the tail stock but this is not sensitive enough and make me braking drills. You cannot view this attachment. You cannot view this attachment. You cannot view this attachment.

Neat set-up.
I'm guessing this allows you to hand feed the drill bit ?

Makes me wonder if you could salvage the slip clutch from an old junk drill and adapt it or a spring and washer type slip clutch so you wouldn't have to use your hands.

I recently bought a small Jacob's chucks, 7A mounted to an MT#2 arbor for tailstock use on my Atlas 12" lathe. Looks a lot like your setup.
