Happy to join the new effort; unfortunate that the old content was lost.

oh - perhaps I should follow the request and add that:

I'm in northern Virginia, enjoy fabricating generally for things around the house and whatever seems to pop up. I am fortunate to have a large garage space where I can separate grinding and general fabrication from machining operations, and similarly have a separate woodworking area. My background is in mechanical engineering, though I don't work as an engineer. I first bought a small lathe to make a tapered bushing for a car, and things took off from there once I remembered how much I enjoy being able to make or modify things as I please.
