In need of prayers

This has nothing to do with machining whatsoever, but the events leading up to this post will cause me to be available very little for the next six weeks or maybe more. Keep in mind that this post was originally written for a motorcycle forum, but if you follow along it will all start to make sense.



I am saddened to report that Endeavor Trike #93, a 2002 Goldwing met its demise on Thursday, August 27th at 9:11 AM while traveling at 58 MPH. It was the only trike Norm ever built for a lady and parts of the build were featured in one of his YouTube videos.

My wife and I were on vacation in Wyoming, traveling through the Wind River Canyon. I was leading on my 2008 GW bike, followed by my wife on her Endeavor Trike, with friends of ours following on a Road King, when a fisherman's dog ran out into the highway. Pauline never even saw the dog coming but if she did, she never had time to react. The right front wheel hit the chocolate lab, killing it instantly. The right side of the trike came up and the rear swung to the left, putting the trike into a roll. Pauline was thrown clear immediately and the trike tumbled down the highway, landing on its wheels. I happened to look in the mirror only to see the trike tumbling; I had no idea why.

Just before our trip I had ordered two Innovv K7 camera sets but only had time to install them on my bike before our departure on the 20th. The rear facing camera caught the entire event and it was quite horrific to watch.

My wife was air lifted directly out of the canyon and flown to the trauma unit at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper where she remains on life support with many, many injuries.
