Garage Gazette replacement forum - Garage Hangout

Uncle Buck contacted me last night and asked if I would mind posting this announcement for them.

Garage Gazette has been gone for a while now, meeting a similar fate as Machinist's Gazette, but a bit later. It took them a little while to get a replacement site up and running, but they are finally live and trying to get back in touch with some of their old members.

For those who are unfamiliar with the history, I shall explain briefly. One of the principal owners of Garage Gazette (forum for tool collectors and gearheads) wanted to start a machinist forum as well, and he started Machinist's Gazette. Both sites were administered by a fellow named Rusty, who was a nice enough guy to say the least. Eventually Rusty started having some health issues and we could not even reach him when needed. Neither site was being updated or backed up any longer, and eventually the domain names were not getting paid for, nor the web hosting services that supported the two forums. Machinist's Gazette died first, so we created Home Machinist Journal and we've been here since April 20th of 2024 - nine months already! Garage Gazette disappeared a couple of months later and it took until recently before they got a replacement site (Garage Hangout) up and running.
