Wire size help needed

Doesn't really change anything as far as wire gauge. Just cost.

It does if what I've found is correct.
According to these 2 websites (https://www.tuhorse.us/content/info/dropwiresize_multiplewires.pdf) (https://lancasterwatergroup.com/wp-content/uploads/Product_Manuals/bulletin_cable.pdf), using a 1/2 HP 230v submersible pump (which should be adequate with my shallow well), I could use 12AWG copper wire out to 650 feet wire run length.
Opting for a 3 phase, 1/2 or 3/4 HP pump, I could use 14 AWG wire.
