Repair clock gear wheel.
Due to a broken spring, teeth of the gearwheel got damaged. (missing 3 of them).
To repair that, I made some tool to copy the teeth. Since my cutter did not have the perfect shape, this needed to get tuned by means of a file.
The missing material has been replaced by a piece of brass soldered in the gap.IMG_20160122_172242.jpg20240428_140454.jpgIMG_20160125_222032.jpgIMG_20160122_173502.jpg
Good save!
And what am I doing wrong? I can't enlarge the pics.
Hmmmm, I just click on the pic and bigger it goes. You got me Bub.
Good looking work Leo. Nice idea on the jig/tool for the job.
Strange? It's working now. When I first tried it, all I got to see was a blank no pic.
Great idea on the jig / indexer, great setup imho.
