Well, it has been specifically asked - yea, I'm here. Formerly carpenter84, otherwise known as Shawn.
Adasha is my companies name. First three letters of my boy's name, (Adam) first three letters of mine. It was the most creative idea I stole from someone else.
I grew up as a factory grunt. Made my way all the way up to playing a millwright on tv - never followed through with the apprenticeship/trade. Wore many, many different hats over the years, including flipping burgers, an electrician, and building houses.
Bought a bench top lathe about 8 or 9 years ago. Found Hobby Machinist because that lathe had a banjo gear in the wrong location and wouldn't thread properly. Met all these wonderful gentlemen, who taught me more than they realize. Dove head first into the hobby, eventually turning it into a carrier.
Now I am a partner in an extremely busy aerospace manual and CNC machine/manufacturing shop.
I'm busy 24/7. It's either work, cooking dinner, or karate with the boy. I check in here all the time, but I am a bit more reserved than I used to be. I think it'll take me a wee bit longer to get to a 5000 post count this time...
Welcome aboard, Shawn. Glad to see you here! You can accrue posts as quickly as you want or not. Either way, we're always glad to see what you are up to.
Thanks Terry. You and Buck seriously grabbed the horns on these recent events. Well done, both. Many thanks and much gratitude.
