There are for the most part, two ladies in my life. One is my lovely wife with whom I share a 40th anniversary today. I am grateful for every minute of every day of every year with her at my side.
Sadly, the other lady in my life, Quinn, is in her final days. Technically she is my daughter in law's dog, but she has been a part of our household for the last six years and has carved out an enduring place in our hearts. She has always had a way of getting in the middle of everything I do as shown in the photo. Now she is trying to fight off a cancer, but she is fading fast. Three days ago she was still walking and she came home so everyone could say goodbye before we help her across the rainbow bridge tomorrow. At this point she cannot even lift her head and we are doing our best to make her comfortable, but we are missing her habits and facial expressions already.
Joy is overshadowed by sadness but, that is what we sign up for when we choose to become caretakers of our four-legged friends.

So sad. R.I.P.
So very sorry to hear. I know how much it hurts to lose your 4 legged companion.
Very sad to hear this Terry, it's always tough to help them to the next stage, but as you say, it's what we sign up for. All the best.
Hi Terry,
I just joined the site today so just found out today.
I am so sorry.
Brian
Sorry for you and your families loss Terry. I'm not on here often and just saw your post. Dogs are such beautiful loyal creatures they steal our hearts and bring us joy. The pictures of her are beautiful. I can see her spirit.
