Welcome aboard, Scott. I was just reviewing your Clausing 8520 questions. I need to look through them once more and formulate my responses IF I can come up with any that are worthy of mention.

Welcome to the site. We ( the wife and I) just left Mass. last week. We headed for the Southwest,New Mexico right now. I don't have any computer setup yet so I cannot get to those files. But I think Terry and a few others here have the same info as I would have any way. Hope you enjoy your time here and maybe share a project when you can.  :smiley_takepicture:

I appreciate the welcomes.
Looking forward to posting my Clausing 8525 project.  It originally started as just a partial top end rebuild when I installed a 5" riser. It transformed - not by design to a complete 100% rebuild when the machine toppled over when it was being moved...ugh. There was some damage - but all of it was easily (sort of) repaired LOL
It actually was a blessing in disguise as it ran pretty quiet before, but I did see a bit of runout on the spindle. (.001-ish).  I replaced every bearing in the entire machine and the lower spindle bearings were...ugly.
I'll post various pics/stages - it should be pristine when done (very close).
Glad to be here.

Scott
