Title: Made A few Ball Ends Today
Post by: chips and more on Jun 27, 2024, 05:39 PM
Made a few ball ends today on square stock. First, I made a split bushing to hold the square stock. I can directly work with square stock, but with what I had to do, changing to hold square was harder to do than making a split round hole bushing.

First to the lathe for the recess.

Then over to the mill with a mounted rotary dividing head tiled to 12.6°. And with just a few turns of the RDH and some Z feed a perfect round ball.
