I think this would be a cool little tool from making Styrofoam sand casting forms.
Yes, hot wire cutting presumably works very well. I need to do more experimenting with foam density.
We had some very successful lost foam aluminum casting last fall. Getting the refractory cement right seemed to be critical to success.
